YT219 – Open Up the Fretboard with This Simple Shape

Hey, James here…

Over the holiday break, I watched the film Stuart Little 2 with my 4 year old son Oliver.

The movie was good fun, but one thing that really stood out to me was the bass playing in this really groovy song that was part of the film's soundtrack. The song was Put A Little Love In Your Heart by Mary Mary.

I liked the song so much I decided to transcribe it note for note, from beginning to end. While doing this, I discovered a really important fretboard shape that can really help to open up the fretboard.
