Hey, James here!
People often ask me on the eBassGuitar YouTube channel and Facebook groups:
"Can you play chords on a bass guitar?"
It's a common question because instruments like the guitar and piano use chords a lot, but the bass guitar usually sticks to playing single notes.
Most of the time, about 98%, we're just playing one note at a time on the bass guitar. But there are times when adding chords can be really helpful for us bass players. They can make us better musicians, especially when we're dealing with jazz songs.
In this lesson, I'll teach you six important chord shapes that cover most of the chords you'll find in jazz songs. Learning these shapes can really improve your bass playing and make you more versatile as a musician.
