Hey, James here…
5 weeks ago we made a ‘big move’.
Vicky, Oliver and I ‘upped sticks’ and moved a couple of hours away to a lovely part of the UK called The New Forest.
Every weekend we’ve been jumping in the car and just exploring, getting to know the local area.
It’s much more rural down here and gradually I’m starting to see how all the towns and villages fit together…
We’ve got lost a few times (thank goodness for Sat Nav)... but that’s all part of the fun.
This process of ‘exploration’ has reminded me of learning the bass guitar when I first started out… and how ‘lost’ I often used to feel.
In today's lesson I want to show you some techniques to master the bass guitar neck…
What’s more if you do this every single day you’ll be sure to start seeing how everything fits together… just like Vicky, Oliver and I have been doing on weekly trips out to discover our new surroundings.
This lesson starts off simple to recap the basics… but be sure to watch to the end because there’s a killer ‘drill’ I’ve never shared before.
Also, be sure to let me know in the comments what your biggest challenge is learning the bass guitar fretboard… or what your biggest lightbulb moment was when you were first learning it!
I’d love to find out 🙂
Keep groovin’ hard,
