Hey, James here…
I’m a sucker for any trick or hack that can make my life just that easier.
… and in music I’m absolutely no different.
I still believe getting good music is the product of hard work…
… but there are unquestionably small tricks or hacks which sound sooooooo effective and are really straightforward to implement.
You don’t have to spend hours in the practise room to tweak something so it sounds really ‘sexy’.
Today I’m going to show a small hack which will work for any bass player regardless of what stage of learning they are at.
I’m going to demonstrate it using one of my favourite funk bass grooves so you can see just how simple it is to incorporate this concept into your bass playing
Also let me know if you’ve got a favourite bass hack in the comments below 😉
Keep on groovin’ hard,
James
