Hey, James here…
Can you believe it!
We’ve nearly published 200 videos on YouTube.
It’s 199 to be precise…
… and it’s time to change things up and HAVE SOME MORE FUN!
Looking back to my time at music college 20 years ago some of the lessons I enjoyed the most were the listening or music appreciation lessons (I can't for the life of me remember what the college actually called them!).
Anyway they consisted of a great teacher / musician playing seminal albums, pointing out the most striking / important things musically you should be listening for.
They were so educational and introduced me to so many important albums… but most importantly they were super fun.
So I'm launching a brand new series on YouTube called the ‘Reacts and Analyzes Series’ where I’m going to discuss some of the greatest songs and bass lines on the planet.
Today I'm going to start off with the legendary ‘Sir Duke’ by Stevie Wonder with the incredible Nate Watts on bass.
This video was a huge amount of fun to make. I’d love to get your feedback and of course discover what other songs / bass lines you’d love to hear me breakdown.
Keep on groovin’ hard,
James
