Hey, James here…
Over the past month or so we’ve had released several videos on our YouTube channel which have had tens of thousands of views.
There are always a few videos that ‘rocket’ and many that have (relatively speaking) crickets.
It’s part of the game.
The videos that rocket always inform me that this is super popular content and I always get a bunch of questions off the back of them.
The two videos in question were ‘Learn 4 Chords & Instantly Play Hundreds of Songs’ and “Common Chord Progressions All Bass Players Should Know”.
Here’s the thing I love to return to basics…
Especially questions like “I know this may sound stupid James… but what actually are chords and can you explain how they work on the bass”
So in this week’s lesson we’re going to strip things right back and delve into the difference between major and minor chords.
… and of course explain exactly what chords are and how we use them as bassists.
If you missed that lesson when you were at school then you’ll find this session invaluable 😉
Also… our theme here is ‘firsts’ this month at eBassGuitar… I’m wondering what you first ever bass was? Make sure you let me know in the comments below 🙂
Keep on groovin’ hard,
James
